Super Saturday: 2 Paws Up for Winning!
Sometimes the very best part of blogging is getting to know other pet bloggers, especially when they have giveaways ;). Recently, we had a bit of doggy luck and won a few items that give us happy paws.

Monday Mischief: This Dog is Nuts
The WienerDad has been traveling for work quite a lot this year, his most recent week being the third week of August. He usually flies out on a Monday morning and returns late Friday night. The Sunday night before is usually spent at home – doing laundry, packing, etc.
Well, on this particular pre-travel Sunday, we decided we’d go out to eat and just get out of the house for a while together – believe me, that doesn’t happen often around here. The wieners are left with free reign of the house while we’re gone, and this is normally no problem. We always return to the house and the dogs (and the house) are in the same condition we left them.

The wieners and I had a little winning streak lately, and I’d like to share our loot and give big thank yous for our prizes.
Kong Wobblers – Part 2: We Were Just Faking It
A couple weeks ago, I posted about getting the wieners a couple of Kong Wobblers. At that time, despite my showing them what to do to get the kibble/treats out, they would not do it themselves. They would watch me intently batting away at the Kongs like a trained monkey, knocking the kibble out. Between bites, they would look at me to knock out some more. They seemed to understand the concept that the Wobblers needed to be knocked around for the goodies to come out, they just wanted me to be the one to do it.
Kong Wobbler: Round One
The wieners really need some more indoor activities, since it’s about 87 million degrees outside right now. I’ve seen lately that a lot of people are using Kong Wobblers to provide a fun way to give their dogs treats, or even feed a whole meal; so I buy a couple of Wobblers and hope for the best. (As a note, I bought the small size and it is more than adequate for our use.)

Pet Safety Month: Car Safety – Confession Turned Warning
To be honest, I am so embarrassed that this incident happened in the first place that I was never going to write about it. But when I saw that BlogPaws was doing Pet Safety Month for July, I talked myself into ‘fessing up. I want our story to serve as a warning that anything can happen, especially when you’re least expecting it.
People talk about car safety for pets all the time, but until something really happens, sometimes it goes in one ear and out the other.
