I have watched quite a few videos featuring the amazing rescue efforts of Hope For Paws,
one very amazing organization making a huge difference in the lives of neglected animals everywhere.
Although they are based in Los Angeles, California, their videos have inspired a worldwide network of rescuers. What an impact! At the very least, the videos change the way people see stray dogs and shelter dogs, inspiring them to adopt a pet and save a life.
Every Hope for Paws video makes me cry. I cry about the horrible condition that these animals are found in. I cry about the fact that they are in such a condition because they were abandoned by someone. I cry knowing that there are abandoned animals in every city of every nation in the world. I cry about the fact that probably so many people have seen them and passed them by, doing nothing. I cry that someone finally cared enough to save them from their misery on the streets. I cry at the process of their transformation. I cry at their miracle ending.
I always cry. But usually, I can watch a video a few times and by the third or fourth time, I can watch it and just be happy.
But there are some that never fail to bring the tears, no matter how many times I’ve seen them. Bethany’s story is one of those. I know this video has been making its rounds, and perhaps many of you have already seen it. But for those who haven’t, I wanted to share it. And I hope that you share it if you haven’t already. Most of us support animal rescue and rehoming in whatever ways that we personally can, but sometimes it’s easy to forget why we really do it… why rescue is SO important. Let Bethany’s story be a reminder.

I saw Bethany’s video the other day and wept…Her rescuers are among the angels
We live in LA and are so proud of the work Hope for Paws does. We play only a very, very small part in the rescue scene here but they do great work.
I have seen their videos before, but I haven’t seen this one yet. It definitely made me tear up! Bethany transformed into an absolutely beautiful girl. I am so glad she is finally getting the happily ever after that she deserves. Hope for Paws are angels indeed!
I saw the people who make the videos at BlogPaws and they were very inspirational!
I’ve seen this video before and it impacts me in two ways,,,,I am sickened at how heartless people can be in just abandoning helpless animals,,,and at the same time in awe of the people who sacrifice so much of their time to help these animals. GOD bless all who help homeless animals in any way. You will be rewarded for your compassion.
We watched this the other day (or I should say, Mommy watched it) and she cried and cried too! We are so thankful for the hooman’s who work in rescue.
Hugs,
